Maciek Gracz
Maciek Gracz, aka Michael, was born in Warsaw, Poland on October 23, 1980. His family moved to the United States when he was four, and Maciek Gracz now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. Maciek Gracz started playing poker while he was working at a game shop in high school. He began reading everything he could in poker books and his passion for poker only continued to grow.
At college in December 2004, a friend of Maciek Gracz’s entered him into the Trump Poker Classic at the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City. Michal Gracz won the tournament, earning around $300,000. However, he had to go back to college and finish his final semester. Maciek Gracz had a sales job for a while after college, but he eventually quit. He entered the PartyPoker Million IV cruise, and won it to take down the grand prize of $1.5 million. This win made it clear to everyone that poker was the profession that Michael was best at. Michael Gracz also has one World Series of Poker bracelet, coming in 2005 at the $1000 No Limit Holdem event.
Michael Gracz had some poker advice for tournament players. His advice is “Nine at a time.” By this, Maciek Gracz means that you can’t worry about other poker players at other tables. You can only worry about the players at your table, and all you should be concerned with is being a winner at your table.
