John Duthie
John Duthie was born on May 13, 1958 in Yorkshire, UK. Before becoming a poker player he was a television director. He has worked on The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and several more popular TV series.
John Duthie’s greatest success at the poker table came in 2000 when he won the Poker Million 2000 Tournament held at the Isle of Man. John earned £1,000,000 for his victory. John has also appeared three times on the Late Night Poker series and he finished second to Mike Sexton at the 2003 European Heads-Up Championships in Paris.
John Duthie is currently using his experience as a television director to help out with the European Poker Tour. He is also a commentator for the EPT. Also, in 2006 John Duthie was invited to the set of the movie Casino Royale to be a consultant and add some realism to the poker scenes.
John Duthie’s favorite movie is On The Waterfront, while his favorite hobbies include golfing, fishing, and reading. His favorite poker game is the No-Limit Hold’em.
John Duthie currently lives in London with his family.
