Joe Hachem PokerJoe Hachem was born on November 3, 1966 in Lebanon. His family moved to Australia when he was six years old, and he has lived in Melbourne ever since.  Joe Hachem had a very successful career as a chiropractor until a rare blood condition took which made it impossible for him to use his hands as a chiropractor. Joe Hachem then turned to poker and has been incredibly successful. He plays poker online at Pokerstars.

Joe Hachem placed tenth at an early event in the 2005 WSOP, winning $28,000. Full of confidence thanks to his strong run, Joe Hachem paid the full $10,000 entry fee into the World Series of Poker Main Event.  After a week of grueling play, he defeated Steve Danneman in heads-up play to win the 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event, the gold bracelet, and the $7.5 million first prize.

In December of 2006, Joe Hachem won the World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson North American Classic at the Bellagio, becoming the fourth player to win the WSOP Main Event and a WPT title.  The other three are Scotty Nguyen, Carlos Mortensen, and the legendary Doyle Brunson.

Earlier in 2006, at the WSOP, Joe Hachem finished second to “Dutch” Boyd in the $2500 Shorthanded No Limit Holdem event when his AQ’s were beaten by Boyd’s A5.  Joe Hachem appeared in Poker Superstars III, but was one point short of advancing to the super sixteen round.
