Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren is a famous poker player who is always trying to become better at whatever he does. He is an intense competitor, having been an MVP basketball player and an All-League quarterback during high school. Now he is trying to improve his poker game, and he has done this by playing poker online at Full Tilt Poker, closely watching the three players he considers to be his main rivals, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, and Gus Hansen.
However, his competitive desires certainly were not in schooling. Erick Lindgren dropped out of college in his second year after realizing he was more interested in gambling than school. Like many other professional poker players, Erick Lindgren started out as a blackjack dealer before making the transition to poker.
Erick Lindgren made his first big splash in 2002, winning a major poker tournament at the Bellagio. He followed this victory up by winning a World Poker Tour event in Aruba, with a prize of $500,000. He then won the WPT Party Poker Million III Cruise, for a payday of $1 million. In 2005 Erick rattled off another nice string of victories, starting with a second place finish in a World Series of Poker Circuit Event in Atlantic city. Shortly afterwards in February, Erick placed fifth in the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic. The very next week Erick won the second Professional Poker Tour tournament, also in LA. He also had a strong 2006, finishing third in the WPT Borgata Open and winning the FullTiltPoker.Net Poker Pro Showdown, beating Mike Matusow on the first hand of heads-up.
Erick Lindgren has written a poker book giving advice on tournament play, World Poker Tour: Making the Final Table. He is also a member of the Full Tilt Poker team of professional players, and can be found playing real money games and giving advice at Full Tilt Poker.
