If you ask any professional poker player about what they think is the one true test a poker player must pass before being considered a true champion of the game. Well most if not all of the pros would respond by saying that the player must win a H.O.R.S.E tournament event. The reason for this is because a H.O.R.S.E game mixes in all different types of poker games to basically eliminate the luck factor all together. Yes a poker player may get lucky in Hold Em’, but will they be lucky in the tough game of Razz, most players would say no. If you do not know what the letters in H.O.R.S.E mean then let me fill you in. H (Texas Hold Em’) O (Omaha Hi/Lo) R (Razz) S (Stud Hi) E (Stud Hi/Lo). Well it was finally time for the Full Tilt Online Poker Series Event #13 which is a $500+$35 buy-in H.O.R.S.E event. It had 597 players register which brought up a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.
When the final table finally came together, players were still in the “Razz” portion of the tournament. The player that showed the skill and basically rant the table was online poker player “latanyawilliams”. The final table did not last long, because when the heads up match between “latanyawilliams” and “pocket five” began it was still in the “Omaha Hi/Lo” portion of the game and they haven’t played another round of “Razz” since the beginning of the final table. However the final table finished where it started in the “Razz” portion of the game when “latanyawilliams” was declared the winner.
